So much Game Boy R&D happening! I’ve just built a sync box out of a DMG-07 multiplayer adaptor. This means I can sync more than two Game Boys at a time, allowing me to start/stop/play everything at the same tempo by setting a master Game Boy and several slave Game Boys. This is done by removing most of the parts on the DMG-07, throwing them the fuck out, and adding a wire and smearing solder over everything. And then it works, probably by magic.
I broke my last Game Boy keyboard (rocked out too hard). Time to make a new one! Follow along with these SUPER detailed instructions to make your own! All you need is a soldering iron, a Game Boy, and lots of science!
These are my favourite Game Boys, with fancy custom backlit red and blue screens. I call them “Crimson and Grover”.
Did this last year for Valentines day, because you were lonely. It’s the theme from the film The Princess Bride. Towards the end it turns into Book of Love by the Magnetic Fields. That was a mistake, they’re almost the same song anyway.

A few vivisected Game Boys with their guts neatly arranged (my roommate has a thing for neatly arranged items and insisted on taking pics before reassembly). This is generally what I spend my weekends doing.
